“Cup 4 Cup” Gluten Free Flour Product Review

For several years I was desperately trying to find a Gluten Free Flour Blend.  Most Gluten Free people know what I am talking about.  You spend a fortune trying different home-made blends and store-bought brands just to find it either too gritty, too soft, odd aftertaste, too dry, or just too much nothing like flour in recipes!!  It’s a costly procedure.  However, the day you find a Gluten Free Flour that you like, it feels like the skies have open up, a ray of light shines down on you, and then you hear an ethereal sound from the heavens.  As you are standing in your kitchen with pure happiness and hope pulsing through your veins, all is perfect in the word.  Immediately after having the brief desire to fill my bathtub with it and try and swim in it (my non-gluten free readers will never understand this statement, but my gluten free readers will), I quickly realized that I will be able to enjoy some of the all purpose flour recipes of my past.  The day I found a Cup 4 Cup was just like that.  I did not just make one recipe before deciding this.  I made a cake, some cookies, breaded some chicken, fried a fritter, baked a protein, and a few other test before deciding this was an incredible product.  Now, of course I did not do that all in one day, but before I committed to becoming a true fan of this product I felt I had to test it out in several different types of recipes.  The final recipe was a snicker doodle recipe that came out perfect!!  Not gritty at all, and all the flavors of the cookie were able to shine right through.  Since that day I have been using Cup 4 Cup in many recipes.  I am thrilled to recommend this product to you!!

I have NOT received any product or sponsorship for this review.  These are strictly my opinions based on my experience with this product.

Gluten Free Baking Mix

Gluten Free Baking Mix

There are some great baking mixes out on the market.  However, I wanted to make my own.  I find that this can be cost effective and also convenient.  As we know when purchasing gluten free foods, they are not carried in every local store.  So if you find yourself without your favorite gluten free baking mix… here is recipe you can “pull out of your pocket”

In addition, this is a recipe that I keep on hand all the time.  I use this baking mix, similar to Bisquick, in three of my favorite recipes; Super Gluten Free Pancakes, Gluten Free Chicken and Dumplings, and The Real Deal Gluten Free Biscuits.  I will be posting these recipes soon.  Please subscribe to my webpage so that you get them as soon as they post.  You don’t want to miss them!!

Sensational Stuffed Strawberries

Sensational Stuffed Strawberries

When I first diagnosed with Celiac Disease I struggled with Gluten Free cooking.  Especially when it came to having my friends over who did not have Celiac or Gluten Sensitivity.  They just didn’t understand that struggle of a “newbie” and the differences of Gluten Free food compared to the ones they were used to me serving.   That is when I found Stuffed Strawberries.  They are naturally gluten free and is an easy dessert recipe that everybody can enjoy.    This is a favorite recipe around my home and once you try them… they will be in yours as well.  As our Uncle Perry says… “They are Sensational!!”

P.S. If you are looking for a Valentines’s Day treat for your sweetheart, this will be a big hit.
