Papa Murphy’s Gluten Free Pizza Review

Papa Murphy’s Gluten Free Pizza

Papa Murphy’s Gluten Free Pizza

I have never eaten at Papa Murphy’s… that was until Udi’s and Papa Murphy’s decided to collaborate on a gluten free pizza offering.  I ordered my favorite pizza which is kinda boring but I love cheese pizza with extra cheese.
We baked it up at home per the instructions.  I found that the crust was a little soft in the middle but overall tasty.  The next day, for lunch, I re-heated the pizza in a little toaster oven and it made the bottom crust much crispier and I enjoyed it more the second day.

Being a Celiac it is always concerning about eating out anywhere.  I did NOT get sick and had no medical issues from eating the pizza.  I enjoyed the Papa Murphy’s / Udi’s pizza and had a good experience overall.
Please keep in mind that not everybody is onboard with Udi’s crust at Papa Murphy’s.  I highly recommend that you contact your local Papa Murphy’s and discuss your questions and concerns with them.  Then you can make your own educated choice.

Gluten Free Bacon Cheese Corn Chowder Recipe

Gluten Free Bacon Cheese Corn Chowder Recipe

Gluten Free Bacon Cheese Corn Chowder Recipe

This was the year I was determined to create a corn chowder recipe.  I have had and seen it for years and have always loved it.  However, this was the year I wanted to create a gluten free and potato free corn chowder.

I have no beef with the potato.  In fact, I just adore the brown spud.  I just wanted a corn chowder that highlighted the corn of the season.  I know this is going to sound crazy but my most favorite way to eat corn is raw.  I don’t even put butter on it.  I find it is much sweeter than when it’s cooked (think of all the calories I saved… which means dessert for me).  Enjoying fresh sweet corn is something I look forward to every year, which is why I love the crunchy corn in this chowder… it’s like combining two things I crave.. .corn and soup… yum yum GREAT!!

Of course, when fresh corn in not in season it can be substituted with frozen.  I would assume approximately 4 to 5 cups, but since fresh corn in still in season I have only made this recipe with fresh so far.

Honeybaked White Bean Home Style Soup Mix Product Review

Honeybaked White Bean Home Style Soup Mix

Honeybaked White Bean Home Style Soup Mix

I recently learned that the Honeybaked ham store has a restaurant in their store.  Now I have not eaten at the restaurant but because they make a ton of sandwiches they go through a lot of ham.  Because they go through a lot of ham a few times a week they sell their ham bones.

Ham is a “hot button” topic to some gluten free people.  I have always purchased hams that said gluten free on them.  However, ever time I post a ham recipe I get some form of feedback about the safety of ham.  So I contacted Honeybaked Ham Store and a district manager got back to me.  He explained that they are gluten free hams and that several of their other products are also gluten free.  I specifically asked him about some and he volunteered others… He openly reviewed many of their products with me and what is gluten free and what is not.  I encourage everybody to speak to their store manager and make their own informed decisions.

After my lovely conversation with the Honeybaked Ham representative I contacted my local store and found out what days they put out their ham bones, because it’s only certain days that they do.  I went down as soon as I could and picked up a bone and a pack of their Honeybaked White Bean Home Style Soup Mix.

Talk about an easy dinner!!  I made the soup per the packaged directions and I gotta say it couldn’t be any easier.  But what was more amazing than how easy it was to make was how incredibly amazing it made my house smell.  Holy Smokes!!  The smell was so amazing that I was almost intoxicated with the smell of this soup.  I couldn’t tell you how many times I told Handsome Husband how much I loved the smell of this soup because I lost count after the first couple dozen times!!  But let’s be real, it doesn’t matter how good it smells it all boils down to taste.. well that was equally fantastic!!

The soup was crazy easy, sensationally aromatic, and incredibly tasty!!

This Product is a good recipe for people with Celiac Disease, Gluten Sensitivity, Gluten intolerance or on a gluten free diet because none of the ingredients contain gluten.

Gluten Free Product Review – Popcornopolis Candy Cane Crunch Popcorn

Popcornopolis Candy Cane Crunch Popcorn

Popcornopolis Candy Cane Crunch Popcorn

I am a huge fan of candy canes… so when I saw this bag of Popcornopolis at my local Walgreens I had to jump on it.  I wanted to save it for something special.. you know like binge watching my saved DVR episodes of the Walking Dead… Cause nothing says zombie apocalypse like some seasonal candy cane popcorn.

Even though I waited to savor this treat I was eager to try it.  The good folks at Popcornopolis did not disappoint!!  Their always amazing products came through again.  I really enjoyed this seasoned popcorn and I am looking forward to purchasing another bag!!

Not only does this product taste great but it is also Certified Gluten Free, GMO free, has no trans fat or high fructose corn syrup and is made with pure coconut oil.  That makes it a home run for me!!!

Don’t miss out on the fun!!  This even is just down right spectacular!!  I always love to go to these events with a friend, preferably one who is NOT gluten free.  That way all the samples they get they give to me.  Ok, I don’t always go with someone who is not gluten free because gluten free people have so much fun at these events.  It’s crazy wild to try all kinds of new and exciting products and snacks!!  Not only do you get to try products but you can get special deals on products and snacks purchased there, coupons to use in the future, and even have the opportunity to win stuff too!!  Not to mention there are all kinds of great speakers at each of these events!!

You will be familiar with many of the booths you will see… Udi’s, Enjoy Life, Glutino, Smart Flour, Bakery on Main, Sprouts and MANY more!!  However, come out and learn about companies you were not aware of.  I see several new faces and I am excited to go see what they are about!!

Now there is EVEN MORE EXCITING NEWS!!  Connect Gluten Free will be giving away 5 tickets to the Phoenix event.  Now I do realize that many of our readers are around the country and even around the globe but the GFAF Expo was kind enough to give us 5 tickets to the Phoenix event and I want you guys to enjoy them!!  So keep you eyes open for a give away very soon!!

In addition, if you are not one of the five ticket winners you can just purchase your ticket through us… or if you want to go to one of the events in another city!!

I am sooooooo very excited about the GFAF Expo!!  There is so much to see, do, and taste and knowing it’s all gluten free makes me one happy camper!!
