Gluten Free Sweet & Spicy Asian Turkey Bowls Recipe
When someone says “turkey” most of our first thoughts go straight to Thanksgiving and the warm family memories around the Thanksgiving dinner table. In fact, that is one of the reasons it’s my favorite holiday. It’s all about the food and the memories we create every year.
With all the traditional thoughts we have revolving around turkey It’s hard to imagine a turkey dinner made from your leftover thanksgiving meal that has an Asian inspired taste!! Well just because we cherish those family traditions and recipes doesn’t mean that you have to stay within that box with your leftovers. In fact this recipe is so tasty that I will be making a turkey breast all year round just so that I can enjoy this yummy dinner with my family. Click here for Recipe….
Gluten Free Crispy Fried Beef in a Sweet Garlic Sauce
Grab your chopsticks! We have a tasty treat for you today. As you might know, I love Chinese food, and I am always experimenting in the kitchen with it. Ya know, it would just be easier if more people opened Gluten Free Chinese Food Restaurants. But until that happens, I am going to be sharing my Gluten Free Chinese Food recipes with you!! Here is the latest gluten free creation… It is a crispy beef and the sweet garlic sauce is very mild. I wanted to include lots of stir fry veggies. This can be served over white or brown rice. I love white rice but lets face it, brown rice is so much better for us… so every once in awhile I like to make sure my family gets brown rice. It works really well with this main dish. Now there seems to be a lot of ingredients and directions to this recipe, but please don’t let that distract you from making this, it actually is not a difficult dish to make and once you make it once, it will be much easier every time there after. So please give it a try and let me know what you think!!
Tip of the Day!!! If you have any recipes with Fresh Ginger… Buy the Ginger in a nice large piece. When you get it home, peel the ginger with a potato peeler. Then grab a large piece of tin foil and wrap it in there and place in your freezer. That way all you have to do is get a fine grater out when you need it and grate it frozen. Stores for months this way and that makes it a lot more cost effective and tasty!!!
As you may know, I love and miss going to Chinese food restaurants!! This is a favorite recipe of mine now that I cook Chinese food at home. Especially when our local Albertson’s Grocery Store has their Sirloin steaks on buy one get one (sometimes two for free). This recipe makes this a great deal. In fact, we normally stock up and freeze those steaks for future use. However, keep in mind if you don’t have an Albertsons near you another type of meat you can use is beef round steak. If you like beef broccoli you are going to love this Chinese food recipe!!
This is a fantastic dressing recipe… tomorrow I am going to share my recipe for Gluten Free Chinese Chicken Salad using this recipe… it’s one of my all time favorite salads that will make you feel like you are in a restaurant enjoying one of their signature salads… I really love this salad and I am sure you will also… check back!!
Are you looking for a way to get your family to eat more veggies? Looking for a new side dish? What to serve something fun with dinner?
Well I have got an idea for you!!
I really enjoy these… not only a great source of raw veggies, they are fun, you get to dip them (love to dip my food), they are unique and not made by home cooks often (although I don’t know why because they taste great), they are versatile and can be switched up to fit things that you want to use up in your fridge, naturally gluten free, and let’s face it… a great way to switch things up in the side dish world in my menus!!
Gluten Free Shrimp Spring Rolls veggie photo
Remember these can easily be made vegetarian simply by leaving out the shrimp!! AND more cost effective too!!
Don’t be intimated by these…. What is most important is that they DONT HAVE TO LOOK PERFECT. Secondly, the more you wrap the more you get the hang of it. And third, you can play around with the ingredients to fit your preferences so the sky is the limit!
