Gluten Free Green Morning Smoothie Recipe
It’s been insane around here. I am sure you can relate to those kind of days that you do not know if you are coming or going. If it were not for list, I would be so jumbled up in my own brain I couldn’t function.
So I must keep it short and quick… kind of like breakfast was this morning. Thanks to my friend Carrie’s awesome recipe at least I knew we had a good start to the day….
Now only if I could be so assured that dinner tonight will be more than a slice of cheese eaten while standing with the refrigerator door open and I cram it into my mouth and hope for a less chaotic and more peaceful tomorrow!!
Got to run……

Gluten Free Peach Pie Protein Shake Recipe
So many people, including myself, enjoy something sweet in the morning. Drive by a Dunkin Donuts and one look at the drive through and the crowded parking lot will confirm that!! Despite what our taste buds tell us, these are not always the best of choices. I know Handsome Hubby does enjoy something sweet in the morning but yet I would rather him have a nutritious breakfast. The challenge comes in… how do I make him a healthy breakfast, that he enjoys, when we are both running round like crazy working crazy early hours.
Today the answer came in the form of a Gluten Free Peach Pie Protein Shake. It was delicious, nutritious and was a sweeter treat (although not compared to those maple bars he loves so much) The protein will help him get to lunch without snacking. Today we are having some healthy leftover soup that we had last night for dinner. Now don’t go and think we are on some kind of health kick or something… I made an AWESOME cake for dessert last night and I always feel less guilty about a nice piece of yummy cake when I ate a healthy meal!!
speaking of cake…. I think it might just be calling my name right now… YUM!!

Creamy Avocado Coconut Smoothie Recipe (Naturally Gluten Free)
I am not a fan of the Avocado. I WANT to be. I have fond childhood memories of my father eating the fruit. My Handsome Husband enjoys them. My friends all eat them. Then why can I just not do it? Don’t know.
This morning I made my handsome Husband a smoothie with 1/2 of one because that is all I had but he thinks a whole one would be good too. So with all the good press the coconut and the avocado is getting these days I thought this would be the best way to start his day!!
He really enjoyed it!!

Blueberry Peach Smoothie (Naturally Gluten Free)
So many times I have people tell me, it’s must be HORRIBLE to be gluten free. I do admit, there are some challenges when it comes to baked goods but what I love to share with them is the fact that many foods that people eat every day are just naturally gluten free, they just don’t know it or think of it that way…. here is a perfect example.
A naturally gluten free breakfast smoothie chop full of goodness. Everywhere you turn you hear about how good blueberries are for you and that is AWESOME but don’t forget your friend the peach…
Peaches are a great weight loss assistant because they have a natural way of making a person feel full, contain no fat, and low calories. In addition, peaches are full of antioxidants, a natural stress reliever, help clean kidneys and bladders, lots of vitamin c, loaded with potassium, and a natural source of fiber!! YEA PEACHES!!
So drink this morning smoothie knowing you are doing the body good!!

Bloody Mary Recipe (Naturally Gluten Free)
I recently found out that V-8 juice was gluten free… what better way to celebrate than with a Bloody Mary!!
Making a Bloody Mary drink is like one of those drinks that everybody has a recipe but they are all a little different. Today I am sharing mine.
As they say… “It’s 5 o’clock somewhere”. If you prefer a virgin Bloody Mary, just forego adding the Vodka.
